What are the download limits?
There is no maximum or limit to the number and size of files you may download.
However, in order to maintain the quality of our service to you we have to limit the number of files which may be downloaded from a single account or to a single computer at once. Most people will not be impacted by these concurrency limits, but if you are used to downloading many files in parallel you may need to wait for some to finish before starting new ones.
Without these restrictions it is possible for one user to consume a large proportion of resources to the detriment of other users. Since we offer free storage for all, it is inevitable that we will attract certain users who wish to use the service to distribute large media files illegally, these downloads are often very popular and the demand it places on the service could affect the quality of service for our valued base of responsible users.
We don't disclose what the concurrency limits or logic are, however since it is hugely unlikely (in fact we have yet to encounter it) that a person intending to use the service for illegal purposes would part with their hard earned cash in order to do so, the limits are higher on premium accounts than free ones.
These restrictions do not apply to streaming videos, viewing images, listening to music or working with files online and remember there is no limit to the number of files you may download, only to the number you may download at the same time - so you always have full access to your files.
