How do I enable Java on my computer?
Java is required to use some of the features of the humyo website. You can test whether your computer has Java on the Java Test page.
If your computer does not have Java, you can follow the steps below to enable it. The steps and appearance may vary slightly from computer to computer.
- Go to the official Java page at http://www.sun.com/getjava. This is the official page for Java run by Sun Microsystems, the company behind Java. Java is completely free and used by many other web sites.
- Click to download Java, when the file download dialog box appears prompting you to run or save the file, click Save to download the file to your computer.
- When the download has finished close all applications including any web browsers that are open.
- Double-click on the saved file to start the install process.
- The installation process will start and the installer will present you with an option to view the License Agreement. Click the Install button to accept the license terms and to continue with the installation.
- You may then be given the chance to install some additional software as Sun Microsystems the company behind Java has partnered with various companies to bundle other products with Java. It is not required for you to install any of these bundled products to enable Java and we recommend that you untick them.
- Click Next to continue the installation.
- As the Java Runtime Environment is being installed, you'll see a standard progress bar.
- Once the installation has completed you will be presented with a final screen confirming that Java has been successfully installed. Clicking on the Close button to exit the Java installation process.
- You have now successfully installed Java on your computer and can begin to utilise some of the advanced features of the humyo website. Open your web browser and navigate to the humyo web site - happy uploading!
